About
Matéo Garcia is a French designer, born in 1989. Trained in Fine Arts and drawing at ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris, he creates “objects with potential use” at the intersection of design and sculpture.
In 2009, he founded the Manifart collective and experimented with sound objects and multidisciplinary installations. His encounter with composer Roland Cahen led him to explore sound spatialization and the use of sound as a primary material.
In 2014, he co-founded a global design agency while also creating sculptures for private commissions and exhibitions. Since 2022, he has been developing a high-performance listening system with architect and DJ Ressac.
His work blends design and sound to produce sculptural and scenographic loudspeakers, notably for Boiler Room and SNKRS (Nike) in 2023. In 2024, he founded Matéo Garcia Audio with architect Marcelo Joulia and established his practice in Paris.
